How to Protect Yourself

What is recruitment fraud? Recruitment fraud occurs when individuals or organizations misrepresent themselves to either job seekers or employers in order to gain personal benefits or to exploit others. This fraudulent activity can take various forms, including fake job postings, impersonation, phishing scams, money laundering and/or misrepresentation.

How to identify recruitment fraud?

Be skeptical of unsolicited offers: If you receive unsolicited job offers via email, social media, or other channels, exercise caution.

Never share personal or financial information: Wegmans will never ask for sensitive information (such as Social Security numbers, bank account details, or payment) during the initial stages of recruitment.

• All offers extended by Wegmans will be done so verbally. You will never receive an offer without having talked to a Wegmans employee.

Validate the job posting: Visit our career site ( www.jobs.wegmans.com ) to search for legitimate Wegmans jobs.
