As an Enterprise Architect at Wegmans, you will set architectural standards and principles for solutions and keep them relevant as well as grow, guide and evangelize the architecture with a global perspective.  You’ll be responsible for creating and owning a blueprint across domains (business, technical, application, security and data) as well as resolving any conflicts of design by creating alignment, maintaining completeness, and ensuring connectivity to future state business strategy.

What will I do?

  • Develop, maintain, and regularly refresh architecture standards, policies and principles
  • Design, promote and articulate a future state architecture with reasonable depth, innovation and pragmatism
  • Continually ensure the alignment of the enterprise architecture supports business strategy and outcomes
  • Research and analyze industry trends, including benchmarking through external industry groups to provide feedback to business strategy and enterprise architecture
  • Run proof of concepts to evaluate sample solution designs, design criteria and checklists for acceptance of solutions
  • Conduct risk assessments of technical debt following the controls process to ensure compliance with standards and create transparency with business stakeholders

Required qualifications:

  • 3 or more years’ experience in a senior level technical role
  • Experience with Enterprise Architecture patterns
  • Experience with two or more of the architecture domains (business, technical, application, security, and data)
  • Experience with portfolio and investment process as well as internal architecture related processes
  • Knowledge of retail business processes, as well as budgeting and financial processes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years’ experience in enterprise system design
  • Experience with Public and private cloud architectures
