As a Quality Improvement Specialist, you will play a vital role in customer service from behind the scenes, performing tests on multiple types of ingredients and finished products, recording and analyzing the data and communicating the results to multiple stakeholders. What will I do?
- Independently verify key ingredients against the internal and external specifications and vendor supplied data
- Perform various ingredient/product testing and analysis to confirm adherence to specifications
- Perform ingredient/product analysis and share findings with operations to inform decisions that ensure a consistent, high quality product
- Maintain good sanitary condition and performance of testing equipment and tools including scheduled calibrations
- Follow good documentation practices to document, trend and report on inspections and testing results
- Share technical knowledge and educate operations teams on use and maintenance of analytical equipment and analysis of results
- Partner with business partners to understand data and trends and identify ways to continuously improve quality results
- Actively participate in corrective and preventive action process for specifications, testing and ingredient/product performance
Required Qualifications:
- 1 or more years work experience in a laboratory environment
- College degree in a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a science related field
- Demonstrated experience with Good Laboratory Techniques and the scientific method
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
- Computer Skills, specifically in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Confidence in ability to learn and grow as priorities and procedures evolve
- Enthusiasm for and knowledge of relevant products
- Ability to work independently and prioritize assignments
- Experience writing technical reports
- Demonstrated proficiency in clearly communicating technical information to non-technical audiences
